Cirro DG Questions
I have the Cirro TDG module now as part of my subscription and I am also a Verity client, will I see any change in costs?
Pricing may vary between operators based on fleet size and current subscription level. We are anticipating a small increase in TDG module fees to offset the huge leap forward in overall module functionality. We are also offering a 10% package-wide discount to ease the transition to the new module. For pricing questions specific to your account, please contact your AirSuite Sales Representative, or contact us at one of the methods below.
I have the Cirro TDG module now as part of my subscription and I am not a Verity Client, what will happen with my access to the current module?
Our focus is now on the new Cirro + Verity TDG module that provides expert oversight to keep the new module current and up to date with regulatory changes. The original Cirro DG Module will remain active for a transition period ending in the spring of 2024.
What is the cost of the stand-alone Cirro TDG module?
We currently pay for our own DG subscription and for DG training offered by another Canadian DG supplier… Will we be able to eliminate these separate costs by utilizing your new DG integrated module?
Cirro will feature unlimited user access to the DG eList available both on and offline. Current DG manuals and training costs will be replaced by Verity DG manual and training costs which is then directly integrated into Cirro.
AirSuite is in discussions with ICAO to provide access to the ICAO Technical Instructions directly within Cirro. Alternatively, for the time being, an operator could upload their own copy of the ICAO TI’s directly into their Cirro company library for their own online and offline use. Operators do not need to carry the ICAO TI’s on the aircraft. They are only required to carry an emergency response guidebook and a copy of their DG Manual and any EC’s (which are included in Verity DG’s Manuals and linked to their Cirro account). They ARE required to have a copy of either the TI’s or the IATA DGR at each base (or digital access to the publication) for employees to reference.
Can you please clarify what you mean by “mutual clients of both AirSuite and Verity”?
The DG package including manuals, training, manifests, and record keeping is only available to mutual clients of both Verity DG Consulting Inc. and Cirro by AirSuite Inc. You need to be a client of both groups to gain access to this system.
How will training and transition to the new module be handled? Can we run the old system in parallel while we transition?
The current/original Cirro module is no longer in development, therefore we cannot guarantee nor provide quality assurance and required updates within it—this was the main motivation for partnering with the TDG experts. Our focus is now on the new Cirro + Verity TDG module that provides expert oversight to keep the new module current and up to date with regulatory changes. The original Cirro DG Module will remain active for a transition period ending in the spring of 2024.
When the new Cirro + Verity TDG module is available, we can roll this out to your company on a user-by-user basis to assist with change management. Training videos and in-depth training will be provided to assist with the transition and can be accessed through the Cirro Training Site and linked to Cirro Training Certificates in your Company Library.
Is the module expected to fully function 100% offline, including all manuals, DG database, checklist, and manifests?
Yes, all required functionality will be made available for online and offline use. Historical reporting for auditing and records will be online access only.
At what stages will a pilot be able to interact with the DG module?
- Preflight completion of acceptance checklists
- Preflight creation of DG manifests by trained individuals
- Preflight addition of DG items to a planned flight
- Midflight addition of DG items to an ongoing flight leg, or multiple legs
- Postflight addition of DG items as a follow up item
How will my company-specific DG training program be integrated into Cirro?
Like our existing Learning Management System (LMS) integrations, a ‘Dangerous Goods Training’ certificate will be created in your Cirro Company Library. This certificate is linked to the applicable online Verity DG training course(s) required for those users who have unique or more advanced levels of training.
Once completed, certificates will be marked as complete in Cirro, expirations will automatically be calculated, and records of completion are confirmed and attached with validation by Verity DG. Once the certificate is now valid for that user, they may begin working with the Cirro + Verity TDG processes as long as their DG training certificate remains valid. There is no need for administrative intervention—all users can enroll in, complete, and automatically document completion of their assigned courses. Users and admins are notified at a set threshold prior to their certification expiration.
Mutual clients will be able to complete and meet the competency-based record keeping requirements through Cirro as well.
Who is responsible for ensuring the processes in this module meet the evolving regulations?
With Verity DG’s expertise in TDG, together we will ensure that all Cirro + Verity TDG module processes are continuously updated and notify you of changing regulatory requirements.
Would it be possible to get a demo of the TDG module?
Anticipated release for the new module is November 2023. A demo video, instructions and an overview of the process will be available upon release.
Are the Cirro manifests, checklists, rejected packages information available in Cirro for auditing?
Yes, all records in Cirro are permanently maintained for regulatory record retention.
Is the TDG module going to be available in French?
The module will first be released in English only. The regulations are changing drastically within the next two years, so our priority is to update the manuals, checklists, training and the TDG module to reflect these changes in English. Translation and French training programs are phase two of this project. The remainder of Cirro modules will continue to be capable of translation into French or Spanish.
Do we need this module if we’re a “No Carry Operator”? If not, what do I need?
The Cirro + Verity TDG module offers helpful tools and resources. It includes specific TDG workflow processes, the building of flight manifests, AND as a resource repository for reference tools and documents available for the users that are beneficial to all operators.
