De Havilland Flight Operations Goes Digital with Cirro

Cirro, the flight management platform built to streamline the compliance process of flight operations, now counts De Havilland Aircraft of Canada Limited (De Havilland Canada) and sister company Viking Air Limited (Viking) among its client list. Both companies are subsidiaries of Longview Aviation Capital Corp.

De Havilland Canada is a leader in the OEM market, with an impressive heritage built on more than 90 years of producing various models of aircraft in Canada and for the world. Providing world-class service to more than 1,200 Dash 8 aircraft for over 160 airlines and customers around the globe, De Havilland Canada is a proud symbol of Canadian innovation and achievement.

Viking is the global leader in sustainable utility turbo-prop aircraft, manufacturing the versatile Twin Otter Series 400 regional commuter and the force-multiplying Guardian 400 special mission variant. Viking is the OEM for legacy De Havilland Canada aircraft (DHC-1 through DHC-7), Shorts Skyvan & Sherpa, and Canadair amphibious aerial firefighter fleets, fully supporting a diverse global operator base with factory spare parts, in-service engineering & technical services.

“Deploying Cirro is part of a broader strategy to reduce paperwork and to streamline the process of flight duty time tracking and doing weight and balance calculations. We’re excited to get our Dash 8-400 and Twin Otter aircraft into Cirro and to start embracing their digital workflow,” Harlan Simpkins, General Manager, De Havilland Flight Operations.

“The way people work in the aviation industry has radically changed, and that’s for the best. With large teams distributed across different markets, De Havilland Canada and Viking understand that technology is essential to help employees address the growing challenges of remote work,” says Michael Kleywegt, CEO of AirSuite. “We are very excited to have such well reputed companies using Cirro to bolster their operations.”
